Why I built it
Running a household is a team job, but the information is scattered. Bills sit in one person’s inbox, the shopping list is on a fridge, and nobody can say how much the family spent on eating out this month. Most finance apps are built for one person, and most family apps send everything to the cloud. I built this to try running an AI assistant fully on a phone.
What I built
Family spending dashboard
See where the money went this month by category, and how spending has moved over the last six months.
Filter by person
Switch between everyone and each family member to see who spent what.
Bills and reminders
Every bill has an owner and a due date, with a reminder the day before so nothing is paid late.
Shared tasks and lists
Assign chores, errands and the weekly shopping list, and tick them off together.
Private AI assistant
Ask questions like “how much did we spend on dining?” The model runs on the phone, so family data never leaves it.
Voice notes to tasks
Speak a reminder and on-device transcription turns it into a task.
How it works
- Choose where data livesLocal mode keeps everything on the device. A synced cloud mode is an idea I may try next.
- Add the familyEach member gets a profile and a colour, used across charts, bills and tasks.
- Track as you goExpenses, bills and tasks feed one shared picture of the household.
- Ask or get remindedReminders arrive before due dates, and the on-device assistant answers questions about the family’s own data.
